SPIRALIT® AF 404 Packing
Diagonally braided from gPTFE-yarn (PTFE with incorporated graphite), reinforced at the corners with continuous Aramid yarn, lubricated with silicone oil. Please note: the colour of the actual product might vary from the above image on this data-sheet.
Style AF 404 is a high performance multi-yarn packing, which combines the advantages of the supple gPTFE material with those of tough and durable Aramid. This results in reduced shaC-wear and be:er thermal conductivity than standard Aramid packings.
SPIRALIT AF 404 is particularly well suited for difficult sealing applications, i.e. with high pressures or abrasive media, such ensuring longer service life. Combines exceptional extrusion resistance and high mechanical strength with good chemical and thermal stability.
Application: Multi-purpose packing, particularly well suited for use in pistonpumps, mixers, stirrers, reactors, for industrial and chemical process valves, good for high pressure applications.
User: Can be used with a wide variety of media including abrasive ones: cold and hot water, steam, solvents, oils, greases, diluted acids and lyes, brine, sewage etc.
Not suitable for highly concentrated acids and lyes, alkali metals, fluorine and fluorine compounds at high temperatures.
